Please find enclosed the advance version of the input to besubmitted to the
7th meeting of the GFC, based on 11 July discussions. Find also below the
message to all stakeholders on behalf of Ambassador Karklins.

 

. Advanced draft of the Stocktaking report

In addition, note that the advanced draft of the Stocktaking report is now
available on the ITU Website (www.itu.int/wsis/stocktaking/index.html). It
is open to comments until 15 August 2005 ( <mailto:wsis-stocktaking@itu.int>
wsis-stocktaking@itu.int).

the Tunis Phase

Dear Sir, Madam,

Based on discussion in the Group of Friends of the Chair (GFC) on 11 July,
the enclosed document is an advanced version of possible text to replace
existing paras 10, 11, and 29 and annex of document WSIS-II/PC-2/3
(Operational part). Comments on these proposals are welcome and should be
sent, by 31 August 2005, to wsis-contributions@itu.int
<mailto:wsis-contributions@itu.int>.

A new revision of the compilation document (DT/6 Rev 2) will be posted
shortly which includes some missing and recent contributions.

A revised proposal, to be presented for consideration at the next GFC
meeting in the week beginning 5 September, will incorporate comments on the
advanced text of paras 10, 11 and 29 as well as any new elements in DT/6
Rev. 2.
