2-HIV/SIDA:
AIDS: the rate of infection decreases in Several countries

The annual report published by the common Program of the United
Nations on HIV (ONUSIDA) and by the World Health Organization
(WHO) with regard to the evolution of this disease shows that the
number of hiv positives increased by 5 million in 2005, specifies an
official statement made public on November 21. There are at the
present time 40,3 million people who live with this disease and 3
million died about it in 2005. The report/ratio makes the point that
the rate of infection by the HIV decreased in Kenya, in
Zimbabwe and in several countries of the Antilles but that the disease
progresses and will not move back unless the efforts are intensified.
The publication of the report/ratio was largely announced of by the
world, in particular in New Delhi where the director of the ONUSIDA,
Mr. Peter Piot, made share of his optimism with matter of the
reduction noted in the rate of infection of certain countries. Thanks
to the presidential Plan of emergency aid to the fight against the
AIDS, an initiative over five years financed with height of 15 billion
dollars and targeting 15 of the countries of the world the most
touched by the HIV, and with other initiatives undertaken in a
hundred country, the United States is the country which contributes
financially more to the international fight against the HIV.

3. Women:

The traditional role of the woman in the company. Traditionally, the
role of the woman is played the house and the paramount mission which
is assigned to him is that to procreate. In the companies, communities
or cultures where it is estimated that it must work, its role is
limited to the completion of the domestic and pastoral work. In
Africa, it practically does not have right besides that to be well
maintained by her husband (in certain areas, the obesity of a wife
constitutes apparent and "undeniable testimony of it). On the other
hand, the woman has an unlimited number of duties and obligations. She
owes obedience and tender; she must be done beautiful. She must ensure
the perpetuation of the descent by procreation. In companies where
polygamy is prohibited, station with it if it does not give rise to
male children! It has the duty - if not the obligation - fidelity
whereas the inaccuracy of the husband is perceived like a proof of its
force, its virility and its power. It has the right neither to lay
out, nor to enjoy its body; from where practices of arranged or forced
marriages and the excision.

10 Environment: The contribution of the forests to the OMD
(Objective dumillénaire for the development) by Melanie Mejom

The forests directly contribute to reduce extreme poverty and
the hunger and to ensure a durable environment, two of the Objectives
of the Millenium for Development (OMD), according to a group of forest
experts invited by FAO. "the products of the forest can contribute
directly to the objective of reduction of poverty and of the hunger by
providing monetary incomes, work and consumer goods to the poor
families", affirmed Mr. David Kaimowitz, General manager of the
international Research center on the forests, which chaired this
group. The means of subsistence of approximately 240 million the poor
which live in the forest belts of the developing countries depend on
protection and, in many cases, rehabilitation of the forests. The
agricultural activities of the poor also profit from the role of the
forests and the trees which improve the productivity of the ground,
harvests and the production of the cattle and provide genetic
resources, among other services. More infos on:
