French-speaking regional Workshop on technologies wireless telegraphy
(Community aspects).
   
  Take part in this workshop of the officers Community projects
(ONG, association) using technologies of the data-processing
networks; administrators of data-processing network using technologies
without wire to provide a service; persons in charge for
unquestionable Providers and authority of regulation coming from
Togo, Benign, Mali, Gabon, Burkina, Central Africa,
Côte.d'ivoire, Senegal, Morocco, Tunisia, South Africa, Mauritania
and of Niger.
   
  This workshop aims at are as follows:
  
  - competences practise to plan, conceive, install and maintain a
network data-processing wireless telegraphy
- elements of choice enters various technologies network and their
costs a Community project
- resources necessary to form in their turn of the local actors, in
French or in another language
- a perennial framework of exchange for the Community projects
(mailing list, forum of discussion)
- the occasion to exchange on the experiments of each one in their
countries and projects respective.
  
  This workshop is coordinated by Association APC (Association for
Progressive Communications) within the framework of a project
supported by the CRDI (Research center for the International
Development) and OSI (Open Society Institute) in order to train people
in on technologies without wire with the service of the local
communities in Africa. This workshop in January 2006 is the third of a
series started in 2005, and the French first. The detailed program of
the workshop:
   
  - Definition and advantages of technologies without wire
- Topology of the networks without wire
- Configuration of the Access points
- Configuration of the stations customers (Windows and Linux)
- the theory of the radio operator signals and the antennas
- the study of site (survey)
- the assessment of radio connections
- the supervision and maintenance of the networks wireless telegraphy

- the safety of the networks wifi
- standards and regulation
The workshop is also a framework of reflexion and exchange for the
carriers of projects requiring the wireless telegraphy, as well as the
projects of formation of the communities (including in local
