  Hi everyone,
    Over the past couple of years, we have noticed that working in the social sector can be an unending struggle with few celebrations and many unpublicised stories.
   
  To address this, we will be publishing a FREE e-zine called DevReport by email every 2 weeks with coverage on about 20 organisations – celebrating their efforts and highlighting their challenges/problems. First issue will be in mid-February 2006.
   Our focus areas are microfinance, ICT4D and entrepreneurship development in Sub-Saharan Africa. Cross-cutting themes are gender equity, e-learning and accountability. Content will include reports on programs, info on grant opportunities, competitions, regional events and feature articles like Volunteer’s Diary, Fundraising Tips, etc. There will also be notices for jobs, internships and volunteering opportunities, across the continent, etc.
  We’re currently inviting articles/stories for our first couple of issues from a select list of organisations, which includes yours! Please send 1-2 reports on your activities (not more than 1 page each) to us so we can write about you! Submissions will be edited for clarity and impact.
  Format for articles is as follows:
  Intro of your organisation, Description of program, Lessons to take away and official contact details. Pictures are also welcome!
   
  Also, please send contact details of any NGO involved in the areas we focus on (especially those in rural areas or working with women/youths) so we can contact them and give them a chance to be a part of future issues.
   
  We look forward to hearing from you before Feb 10, 2006!
