Sujet: [CS Bureau] Up date on ITU fellowships
Dear all,
This is to inform you that after several reminders and information on ITU
fellowships (including the ITU fellowship form which was circulated a few
days ago), we only received only 5 applications for ITU fellowships so far,
whereas there might be 20 to 25 fellowships available. As based on the
guidelines we received from Charles Geiger, we know that priority will be
given by the ITU / WSIS ES to applicants with prior involvement in WSIS and
especially with involvement in the structure of civil society (family and
caucus heads and deputies) duly taking into account regional repartition (in
general five to each region). Applicants should be from developing
countries.
Please one more time circulate this application form to CS participants you
would recommend. You will find enclosed the application form, which should
be duly completed, clearly signed and with the official stamp of the Civil
Society accredited organisation under which the applicant is accredited.
You should sent this completed application form directly to us (
<mailto:wsis@ngocongo.org> wsis@ngocongo.org or by fax +41 22 301 2000).
The list of candidates should be submitted to the WSIS ES by Monday 24
October 2005, so that the deadline for the reception of your application is
no later than 23 October 2005.
Due to the very few number of applications, we intend to send the
application form to the Plenary list in order to give a greater possibility
to apply to non-CS structures members, if you do not object by 6 pm today.
Best regards, and do not hesitate to come back to me for any further
information.
